Mind the Dust! Re-Design of Website Underway.
Fast, Healthy Comfort Food Recipes
Today I can no longer eat anything I want as often as I want. Oh do I miss those days! My Doctor now tells me I have to watch what I eat. I especially need to watch my cholesterol and blood sugar. Both of which would improve if I could reduce my caloric intake.
This brings me to the purpose of this section of my web site. I am asking the world for help in obtaining recipes that will help me comply with my Doctor's instructions and me still getting to eat the kinds of foods I like and that is comfort food. In other words "guy foods." Of course the "guy food" now needs to be healthy food.
I am asking you if you know of any recipes that fall into the below general requirements:
- Low Fat
- Low calorie (within reason)
- Relative low glycemic (not a lot of sugar or starches)
- whole grains
- Lots of vegetables
- Some meat OK (but in moderation)
- Simple to make, I am after all, not a cook
